UT Preparatory Academy welcomed the Lunar New Year with a joyful celebration filled with food, culture, and community spirit!

To prepare for the festivities, Ms. Janeth took students from the Nutrition class on a special trip to the supermarket to shop for ingredients to make dumplings. Students carefully selected the groceries they needed, learning about meal planning, budgeting, and traditional ingredients along the way.

Back at school, the hands-on fun began! Students worked together to prepare and assemble homemade dumplings from scratch.

It was a wonderful opportunity to build teamwork skills while exploring cultural traditions through cooking.

Our celebration featured a delicious spread of food, including a variety of Vietnamese dishes that everyone enjoyed.

The room was filled with laughter and conversation as students and staff gathered to share the meal.

To make the day even more memorable, we played games together, bringing lots of energy and excitement to the celebration. It was heartwarming to see everyone participating and having such a great time.

Thank you to Ms. Janeth and our Nutrition students for helping make this celebration such a success. Events like these highlight the importance of cultural appreciation, community connection, and experiential learning at UT Preparatory Academy.

We wish everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous Lunar New Year! 🧧🎉
